Cohousing and Churches: Focus Group

A Vision for a Church – Owned Property

Making Community

A Focus Group for Church Leaders
June 17, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm  on Zoom

Join Sarah Arthurs and Alexandria Levitt to discuss how cohousing is a dynamic option for churches as they face declining church membership, dwindling church balance sheets and the loss of church presence in neighourhoods.  All church communities are facing these issues to some degree.

Cohousing offers a way to face the future with intention, positivity and provides an option for churches to continue their legacy of love of neighbour in the neighbourhood.

Cohousing provides the built and the social infrastructure for resilient, connected and sustainable neighbourhoods and has much to offer churches at this watershed moment.
• a meaningful, values aligned lifestyle and housing option for church members
• a win/win repurposing of church real estate.

The priority is to hear from you!

We want to  hear from leaders in the church with diverse roles  – pastoral care, church growth, living out mission, managing real estate.  What do you think?  How might cohousing be complementary and what do you see as the challenges?

We appreciate your participation in this discussion about the synergy between cohousing and church.
